FancyFon Announces the Latest Edition of FAMOC Enterprise Mobility Management Platform
Cork, Ireland — November 6, 2014—FancyFon™, a gold partner in the Samsung Enterprise Alliance Program, today announced the release of FAMOC 3.17. The new version of a trusted Enterprise Mobility Management software includes enhanced functionalities for Samsung KNOX devices and introduces a new end-user self-care portal. FancyFon has responded to market demand, by providing a management platform that ensures that corporate data and employee privacy on Samsung KNOX devices are protected better than ever before.
Samsung KNOX is a multi-layered security technology that enables a secure and productive workspace for mobile professionals. KNOX provides leading device security and data and application protection technology used by industries around the globe. In cooperation with Samsung KNOX, FAMOC delivers enhanced mobile security solution for enterprises. With this latest release, FAMOC is adding even more support to an already extensive list of features available for the KNOX environment. These new capabilities, such as Single Sign On, VPN Configuration, data sharing restrictions, and a substantial increase in the number of policies, respond to what enterprises need to fully embrace Samsung KNOX devices as critical business tools.
- SINGLE SIGN ON
- The FAMOC administrator creates and distributes the SSO configurations through the EMM console which later used by the device for authentication by other KNOX business apps. IT can also enforce a fingerprint scan as an obligatory unlock method on Samsung devices.
- KNOX VPN CONFIGURATION
- Users need a fast and secure way to easily connect and transmit data from corporate resources.
- DEVICE & DATA SHARING RESTRICTIONS
- The new FAMOC restrictions give IT administrators controls over the KNOX container while keeping security and user convenience. IT administrators can also restrict to share contacts and calendar events between personal and KNOX mode.
- SECURE ENCRYPTED EMAIL
- Emails in the KNOX container are protected with an extra layer of security. With FAMOC users can configure additional Microsoft Exchange email protection using S/MIME encryption and digital certificate signatures.
Gregory Wade, VP Worldwide Sales at Samsung Electronics said, “Samsung recognizes that partners play an essential role in developing successful relationships and business opportunities with enterprise customers. The extended KNOX integration offered by FAMOC EMM platform is a huge win for our common government, finance and other highly regulated customers. Now they can draw great benefits from full remote management capabilities as well as state-of-the-art data security in the KNOX Workspace container.”
Bartosz Leoszewski, CEO of FancyFon Software Ltd. said, “FAMOC users were one of the first to discover KNOX in the corporate environment and we supported them on their way to adapting Samsung Android for enterprises. With experience in highly-regulated on-site deployments we are ready to help meet even the most stringent security requirements while making the most of new mobile technologies.”
The new FAMOC release also gives users access to a redesigned self-care web portal MyDevice where they can download and install apps, as well as remotely locate, lock or wipe their devices. If necessary, they can also perform backup or restore the lost data. Enabling end users to help themselves ensures that the number of calls placed to the help desk is kept to a minimum, improves overall productivity and efficiency of both the IT department and the end user.
