The FAMOC solution maximizes security and visibility through centralized management and reporting of enrolled devices and installed applications, allowing IT staff to quickly and securely bring large populations of devices across all platforms. With FAMOC, organizations can embrace iOS devices in the enterprise with the ability to centrally manage policy controls and mobile applications, as well as protect corporate email, browsing, documents.
“We've always endeavored to provide 'day one' support of every new operating system release to allow end users to embrace the latest and greatest innovations while enabling the organization to ensure safe and productive use of all devices in the workplace and we are pleased to offer our enterprise customers immediate, seamless support for iOS 7." said Adam Jasiewicz, director of product management at FancyFon.
FAMOC v.3.12.1 application management functionalities, leveraging iOS 7 enable organizations to:
- Manage Open in - admins can ensure unmanaged files won't open in managed apps and accounts if such additional security is deemed necessary.
- Set Per App VPN - configure apps to automatically connect to VPN upon launch
- Silently install applications (only for iOS 7 devices in supervised mode)
On the security side, admins can ensure users are prevented from syncing keychain data with stored usernames and passwords to the cloud and the supervised devices can be set to prevent accounts from being modified. Specific URLs can now be whitelisted or blacklisted with Apple's Web Content Filter, and these lists can be updated automatically over the air.
New configuration options enable FAMOC users to specify AirPrint printers and other devices for iPads and iPhones to connect to, as well as set custom lock screen and create destination whitelist and passwords in AirPlay Mirroring.
